Case Dropped: Defendant Faced Five Years Mandatory for a Second Subsequent Drug Offense

John Doe was arrested in Dorchester for distributing heroin in a high crime area. Given his multiple predicate offenses for distribution of narcotics, Mr. Doe was charged with a second subsequent offense. He faced five years mandatory in state prison for this charge. John Doe also faced an additional two years in jail from a probation surrender, which was triggered from this new arrest. White & Associates, P.C. got the judge to keep John Doe on probation and convinced the Court to extend his probation to the final date. The Assistant District Attorney on the case also dropped the drug case and has not pursued an indictment in the Superior Court. This is considered a Nolle Prosequi.
