Cocaine Trafficking Case Dismissed

John Doe was initially charged with trafficking in cocaine. Later, the case was reduced to possession with intent to distribute and remained in the Roxbury District Court.

Attorney Veronica White aggressively pushed for discovery and scheduled the case on various dates for a motion to suppress hearing. On he last date, Attorney White moved that the motion to suppress be allowed due to non-appearance of necessary police officer.

Agreeing with Attorney White, the presiding judge dismissed the charge without prejudice. The judge further noted that the key officer chose to attend a police ceremony over meeting his obligations to appear on the Commonwealth’s subpoena. John Doe was discharged from all charges and free to go.
