Not Guilty: Possession of a Loaded Firearm

John Doe was only eighteen years old and charged with possession of a loaded firearm after he was searched by the police, following a fight with his girlfriend. The Defendant was found with the gun on his person and a defense of this case appeared impossible. The defendant was facing a one year mandatory minimum sentence.

During a very thorough cross examination of the Government’s chief witness, having utilized an experienced ballistician to test the gun, White & Associates was able to raise reasonable doubt about whether the gun was in fact a working firearm. Due to White & Associates’ trial strategy and emotional appeal to the jury, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
