Case Dropped: Defendant Faced Twenty Years for Attempted Arson

John Doe was arrested in Dorchester for Attempted Arson, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Threats after allegedly trying to torch his ex-girlfriend’s office, hitting her knee with a metal bat and threatening her life. He was indicted by a Grand Jury in Suffolk County and faced over twenty years in state prison. White & Associates, P.C. thoroughly investigated the case and obtained hard evidence that the defendant was being set up by his ex-girlfriend.

On the day of trial, White & Associates, P.C. filed a motion to dismiss arguing that the Commonwealth had improperly prepared the indictment against Mr. Doe. On the day of trial, with a room filled with fire fighters ready to testify, the Commonwealth recognized the strength of the motion and dropped all charges by filing a Nolle Prosequi.
