Case Vacated: Narcotics Charge

John Doe was convicted of a narcotics charge. Attorney Veronica White and Attorney Ben Leatherman of White & Associates P.C. prepared a motion to vacate Mr Doe’s conviction. They argued that Mr Doe’s due process rights were violated because of misconduct by rogue chemist Annie Dookhan. Ms Dookhan’s testing formed the basis for the original charge. Ms White and Mr Leatherman successfully convinced the Suffolk DA office to vacate the original drug offense and enter a nolle prosequi, dropping the charges.
