Case Dismissed: Possession with Intent to Distribute

John Doe was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute a class B substance and distribution of a class B substance. This arrest came after the Boston Police stopped a car his friend was driving and forcibly removed him from the car and threw him down on the sidewalk.

Attorney Veronica J White filed motions to suppress the evidence that was found in Mr Doe’s friend’s car and conducted an investigation of the officers responsible for excessive force on Mr. Doe.

On the day the judge was scheduled to hear Attorney White’s motions, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seized Mr Doe in front of his family and detained him.

Attorney White urged the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office to drop the case because of the on-going investigation by the Boston Police into the excess force used in Mr Doe’s arrest. Mr Doe’s case was nolle prossed and the charges were dropped.

Mr Doe was subsequently released from ICE custody and is living a happy and productive life.
