Second Subsequent Firearm Dismissed

John Doe was charged with a second subsequent firearm possession in the Dorchester District Court and faced five years in state prison.

Attorney Veronica J White mounted a vigorous defense of Mr. Doe which caused the District Attorney to not promptly indict the case. As a result, the charge against Mr. Doe was reduced to a first offense firearm.

Attorney White then filed various discovery motions, but the District Attorney did not provide the required discover material. Then the judge in the case ordered the District Attorney to comply, but the District Attorney did not.

Attorney White successfully argued for the case’s dismissal and Mr. Doe was released.
