Case Dropped: Defendant Faced Twenty Years for Armed Assault with Intent to Murder

John Doe was indicted on the charge of Assault with Intent to Murder, and was facing a 10 to 15 year prison sentence as a result of a shooting that occurred in the Boston area.

White & Associates fought vigorously in this case, conducting a rigorous investigation of this shooting, filing interlocutory appeals with the Supreme Judicial Court, and convincing a Superior Court judge to overturn a protective order lodged against her client. After a long fought battle, the District Attorney entered a nolle prosequi and declined to prosecute this case in the interests of justice. White & Associates, P.C. also got John Doe’s probation officer to withdraw his probation surrender, which was triggered from his new offense in the Roxbury District Court.
